The Club Call-In Show

The Club Call-In Show is a groundbreaking football talk show that puts fans at the heart of the conversation. Hosted by Rory Jennings, Adam McKola, and Laurence Buvey, the format allows supporters to call in live and share their views directly with the panel, creating an authentic and interactive debate. Fans can also leave voice notes throughout the week, giving them even more opportunities to have their opinions heard, with the hosts reacting to the best messages during the show. Leveraging cutting-edge production technology, the show delivers crystal-clear audio and seamless live connectivity, ensuring fans can engage in real-time without compromise.

Alex.Live’s innovative approach has transformed traditional football discussions, turning passive viewers into active participants and raising the bar for live sports content.

Alex.Live played a pivotal role in designing and executing the show’s technical setup, integrating high-quality broadcast workflows with real-time audience interaction. To create the ultimate call-in experience, Alex.Live developed a seamless audience interaction system, enabling fans to engage with the show both through live calls and pre-recorded voice messages.

A custom-built Discord server acts as the community hub, where fans can discuss football and seamlessly join the call-in process. Alex.Live also implemented a bespoke Bot for server management and optimized Discord’s voice channels, ensuring smooth transitions from a “Waiting Room” to a “Green Room” for preparation before callers go live “On-Air”. The studio’s audio infrastructure was upgraded to support up to five in-studio hosts, each with independent talkback channels, allowing clear and professional communication between talent and producers. Additionally, multi-track audio recording was introduced, capturing every voice source separately to give the post-production team maximum flexibility.

Importantly, we design productions to thrive on both landscape and portrait platforms, we call it Dual Format framing. For The Club, the full call-in show is shot in 16:9 for YouTube, while key moments are edited into 9:16 clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram. Camera framing, shot composition, and custom graphics packages—tailored for both dimensions—ensure content looks flawless and feels native on every platform. This strategy maximizes reach, drives engagement, and gives every piece of content a second life across multiple channels.

By combining professional-grade production with community-driven engagement, The Club Call-In Show sets a new benchmark for interactive sports content. With its cutting-edge technical execution and fan-first approach, the show’s first episode quickly gained traction, surpassing 90,000 views within days and receiving widespread praise for its seamless execution.
